600 SE 3rd Ave
Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Florida
A dramatic four-story atrium highlights the entrance to the fourteen-story, 140,000 square foot building which houses the administrative offices of the School Board of Broward County.
The building embodies a sense of richness and permanence through the use of cool reflective glass which complements the granite veneered building skin. Interior lobby granite flooring and accents, skylights, open balconies, unique lighting fixtures and metal clad elevators with windows provide interior architectural drama and scale.
Located in a downtown urban area, care was taken to enhance all pedestrian walkways through the use of walkway materials, planters, trees and grates, and a water feature. A 588 car, 5-1/2level parking garage completes the eastern edge of the project.
